Rickard on pärit samuti suurest perekonnast nagu mina, tal on peres kuus, minul seitse last.

In English

My around the world trip will take us from Finland to Sweden, of course, to a cruise destination familiar to Estonians, and we also have many Estonians living there. This time it was a pleasure for me to take a picture of the couple together with my phone over the internet, where Laura's partner also agreed to come to the pictures.

At the time of the photo shoot, there were already blossoming trees in Sweden, and it was a nice challenge to take photos of two instead of one. We were able to use the selfistick on a couple pictures and I tried to direct them somehow to get them to the pictres together. In fact, what you probably don't know is that none of those involved in the project saw themselves at the time of the photo because the back of the phone was facing them.

Laura story

I work for an international company, a Swedish team. While working in Estonia, I was offered to go to Sweden to work there for 6 months. Without further thought I sayd yes, it's good to develop and get new experiences. In September 2016, I moved to Sweden, knowing that I will be staying tere for half a year. After six months, I was offered a new contract again for two years. Without further thought I said yes again. Team and my boss here were very nice and it will only take one hour by plane to go to Estonia.

The first half year I didn't try to live in because i just came for short time to work here. However, when I got new agreement I started to take thing differently and started to live my life here. After two and a half years I didn't want to go back home and I wanted to stay in Sweden. Luckily for me they offered new agreement but this time they could only offer half time agreement. Life here was nice with other Estonians and now on I couldn't think how life would be in Estonia. I found that I was the right place and this is the country where wanted to live. It is good always to visit Estonia, but walking around places what should be very well known to me then it feels like I am tourist and doesn't know were everything is. Naturally I miss my friends and family, but if I would come back to Estonia now, it would mean that I should start from scratch.

For a long time, I had a desire to go and learn some Latin American dance. In September 2018, I happened to go to Brasilian Zouk dance classes. It made life here even nicer and more lively. This whole group of us who dance it here are insanely nice, super gool people! We stick together as one big family! Ever since I started dancing, there has been a lot of excitement and travel to various congresses in my life. We have even spent the last two New Year's Eve at dance festivals in Brazil.

Dancing also started the story of me and my partner, Rickard, which may still seem incredible! But here he is and now we have been together for over a year! I adore his family - they are with old Swedes roots, so - so sweet and nice people! Rickard also comes from a large family like me, he has six children his family and I have seven children. Therefore, it is nice to see these similarities between large Estonian-Swedish families. Life in Sweden is not obviously different from that in Estonia - the rules are more or less the same, the food is same. You can still find smaller differences, but nothing that would make you feel that oh how I miss Estonia! Life in Sweden is very peaceful, given the current situation in the world. I do not understand why everyone is criticizing these rules. Is it really better if people just have to sit at home and can't move? I would go crazy in my one-room apartment in the city center. Yes, I'm in the home office, sitting in the kitchen, then going to the living room and sitting on the couch, so many times a day. But it is very nice to see people moving from the window and that shops and restaurants are open. We don't go out a lot and we sit at home most of the time. But it's nice to know that if there is a desire, we can go out or eat at a restaurant, and even if we are the only customers out there, what then - at least you can go out of home! By now, I have been officially working for another Swedish company for almost a year and I don't really want to believe that anything will bring me back to Estonia. But never say never!
